Roadrunnerfoot Engineering s.r.l., founded by Daniele Bonacini (Paralympic athlete of Athens 2004, mechanical engineer and PHD), founded in 2007 in Milan-Italy with a mission to develop new aids for disabled people with high technology and high performance. Roadrunnerfoot designs according to the "ROADRUNNERFOOT DESIGN METHOD": we realize prototypes of new solutions with 3D printing, we simulate disabled peoples' walking with new products with Gait analysis LAB and manufacture with aeronautical process and with innovative materials (carbon fiber textile, titanium alloys, plastic materials).
Our products are CE marked with "out of company" tests by Politecnico (University of Milan), comply with CE 93/42 and ISO 10328-13485 international standards and registered by FDA. Our products are MADE IN ITALY.
Each new product achievesthe goal of increasing the quality of life of disabled people:
-the running foot (Sprinter's King) increases the efficiency, reduces the energy consumption of the user and eliminates the force on the hip joint that is present in other feet;
-the walking foot (Roadwalking and Roadflexion) features a natural roll-over with a revolutionary design which simulates human walking (activation of laminates in the same instant of neuro muscular groups) . To the user, it may feel like walking with a sound new limb.;- single axis foot (EQUILIBRIUM) with laminate Carbon fiber-Glass fiber of Aerospace field and two springs with different stiffness in order to customize the foot to the needs of the user.;
- hydraulic knee joint offers a pure mechanical hydraulic knee capable of being stunning, simple and safe. It is achieved thanks to smart engineering: the knee had to be "in phase" with the carbon fiber foot. In this way the prosthesis offers a very good load acceptance to users thanks to the carbon fiber foot and a customizable dynamic walking path thanks to the hydraulic knee. In addition, thanks to a weight locking system, climbing stairs and sloping paths are no longer a problem. All of this is achieved without electronics
-the new orthesis Carbon fiber and PEEK with innovative materials reduce the weight of orthesis and a new kinematic similar to that of a sound human knee joint increases the functionality of patient's walking;
-the new wheelchair in carbon fiber for everyday use, or for competition. Light, Designed andmade in Italy and high performance.
