Quickparts will use CO-AM to simplify on-demand manufacturing processes across multiple production sites
Quickparts, a global leader in on-demand manufacturing for the industry, is partnering with Materialise, a global leader in 3D printing solutions, to use its CO-AM platform to coordinate jobs that are processed across multiple locations. The new platform will support Quickparts' traditional and additive manufacturing (AM) capabilities and network with its existing IT infrastructure.

Quickparts operates seven global design and manufacturing centres in North America and Europe. This manufacturing network requires a software solution that can connect all the sites while integrating traditional and AM technologies. Late last year, the company began implementing CO-AM at its US locations in Seattle and Lawrenceburg, and will expand the platform to additional locations in the second quarter of 2023.
Among other things, Quickparts will use CO-AM to streamline its order-to-cash operations, automate processes and manage production at all distribution locations. Says Ziald Abou: "This will allow us to collect and retrieve production data, monitor and improve workflows, and achieve a level of efficiency that saves time and money from our customers' perspective."
Quickparts customers in the aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, medical and energy industries are increasingly turning to additive manufacturing to drive product innovation and solve supply chain challenges. They expect consistent quality with short lead times from their manufacturing service providers. The integration of the CO-AM platform will help Quickparts successfully scale all AM activities with an open ecosystem that connects to a variety of technologies and integrates with existing manufacturing infrastructures.
