- TiE50 Awards Nominations Being Accepted; Diverse Slate of Global Innovators to Speak at World's Largest Conference on Entrepreneurship in Silicon Valley
TiEcon 2015, the world's largest gathering of entrepreneurs, will become ground zero for "disruptive entrepreneurship" on May 15-16 at Silicon Valley's Santa Clara Convention Center. This year's conference will present, for the first time, findings of a new global study examining how start-ups are impacting market transformation and corporate innovation. It will also feature provocative sessions on a wide range transformational technology trends, including keynotes and presentations from leading innovators and hot start-ups from around the world.
Conference organizers also announced that they are still accepting nominations for this year's coveted TiE50 Awards. Announced at TiEcon, the awards recognize promising innovators and disruptors selected from thousands of start-ups around the world. Since the Awards inception in 2009, some 94 percent of winners and finalists have received venture funding and many have gone on to be acquired, merged or become public. To nominate your organization for the TiE50 Awards, please visit http://www.tie50.net/TiE50Awards/ and click the register button. All submissions are due by April 15th.
"This year's conference is shaping up to be the most comprehensive celebration of entrepreneurship in the history of TiEcon," said BJ Arun, co-convener of TiEcon 2015. "Not only are we getting the biggest names from the hottest start-ups, but also senior executives from major corporations have been eager to support the program. Additionally, we are executing primary research around innovation and entrepreneurship that will be showcased at the event. Participants from all over the globe will find valuable information and networking opportunities to further their personal, career, corporate, and social entrepreneurship goals."
