Pantone Announces 2015 Color Trends for Home Furnishings and Interior Design

PANTONE VIEW home + interiors 2015 highlights nine directional color palettes with modern themes and unconventional style

International Home & Housewares Show 2014, PANTONE ColorWatch Display (Hall of Global Innovation, located in the Lakeside Level 3 Lobby) – Pantone, an X-Rite company and the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries, today unveiled PANTONE® VIEW home + interiors 2015, a compendium of major color trends that will influence the home and interiors marketplace in 2015. Containing nine key trend palettes, plus individual color and material direction, PANTONE VIEW home + interiors arms home furnishings and interior designers with the critical color information they need to appeal to consumers.

"Consumer preferences, behaviors and lifestyles are constantly evolving spawning a desire for fresh color palettes in both home and interior design," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. "While rigid color rules have been replaced by more creative guidelines, style and color coordination in the home remains a consistent goal. The PANTONE VIEW home + interiors 2015 forecast can validate some pre-conceived color choices, while also giving new color inspiration and direction."

PANTONE VIEW home + interiors 2015 contains visual inspiration, suggested color harmonies, individual tear-out palette cards for each of the nine forecasted palettes, swatches of the 72 forecasted colors, and images from the forecast for use in presentations and storyboards. Highlighting additional insight and direction, a summary page concludes the forecast with a comprehensive color overview and a look at other factors influencing the world of home furnishings and interior environments. To enable digital design, PANTONE VIEW home + interiors 2015 also includes PANTONE COLOR MANANGER for direct download of all PANTONE Color Libraries into design software.

The nine palettes for 2015 are: Style-Setting, Abstractions, Botanicum, Zensations, Urban Jungle, Tinted Medley, Past Traces, Serendipity and Spontaneity.
