Digital workflow and meaningful integration: the main topics of the DFTA symposium on February 14-15 in Bielefeld, Germany

What does the future of packaging production look like?

BOBST answered this question with two presentations at this year's DFTA symposium in the context of several talks from the industry: Hermann Koch, Sales Director DACH & Preprint at Bobst Bielefeld, presented a complete turnkey solution for the production of flexible packaging with a "One Complete Solution" workflow to the approximately 35 participants at the company's Competence Center on February 14.

The next day, IoT expert Manfred Bauer showed how the new cloud-based data and remote service platform BOBST Connect lays the foundation for Packaging 4.0. BOBST understands this to mean end-to-end digitized and networked production, from design ideas to finished packaging and automatic reporting.
Digitization, automation and networking - these are the cornerstones of BOBST's industrial vision. They go hand in hand with sustainable packaging production.
"Challenges for our industry will be the sensible use of the gigantic amounts of data and their implementation in intelligent technical solutions. BOBST is a player here alongside other protagonists from our industry and has shown us a solution for what agile work processes on presses look like and how they can save resources," says DFTA Managing Director Nicola Kopp-Rostek.
