India moves into the focus of the wine and spirits industry

25 November saw ProWine Mumbai draw to successful close at the Jio World Convention Centre. For two days the local wine and spirits industry met for numerous tastings and in-depth exchange. This year, ProWine Mumbai was staged for the third time now. As part of the large ProWein family of trade fairs it is organised by Messe Düsseldorf India and the Indian industry expert All Things Nice.

When talking about brandy people should choose their words carefully because whenever wine-based spirits are involved every little detail has its own specific meaning. This may be because man has been making brandies for a good 1000 years. Brandies can probably even take credit for being the first of all spirits. Brandy basically forms the starting point of the cultural history of high-proof spirits thereby connecting countries and traditions, tastes and epochs.

With exhibitors rushing to confirm their attendance at Packaging Innovations & Empack, significant brand names confirming their attendance, and a speaking line-up to rival all others, organisers are reporting increased demand for February's two-day exhibition.

Packaging Innovations & Empack will return to Birmingham's NEC on 21 & 22 February, with organiser Easyfairs reporting 'significant demand' for what promises to be another red-letter day for the packaging sector.
