CMA Imaging Experts Present Paper is a Color, Too! at PIA Color Conference on December 8

CTO Gerardo Cerros and Inkjet media expert Dr. Pierre Brugger outline the importance of paper for final color output

CMA Imaging CTO Gerardo Cerros, along with CMA Imaging's Media Development and Nanotechnology expert Dr. Pierre Brugger, will present "Paper is a Color, Too!" at the 2014 PIA Color Conference on Monday, December 8 at 4:20 pm at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort in Arizona, USA.

Paper is a Color Too!
In this insightful session, Cerros and Brugger explain how paper is considered the "fifth" color for print production, and describe paper-related issues that can have a significant impact on a printed product, including substrate optical brighteners (OBA), which give paper a blue look and can cause problems like metamerism.

Cerros says, "For many designers, paper is a critical design element and often a key part of a design. As we well know
from our collective experience with customers, it can also have a huge impact on the final outcome of a printed piece.

"Every Color Conference attendee will take away a better understanding about how much paper impacts critical-color print projects," says Dr. Brugger. "We here discuss
how critical "color" and customers' choice of a paper determines output down the production line, and encourage attendees to bring their most pressing questions about this often overlooked subject."
