IPIA aims to stimulate print economy with networking events

The IPIA will continue to pursue its goal of stimulating the UK print economy through running a series of networking events and special initiatives across 2022.

Argentinian steak restaurant, Gaucho, in Birmingham will thus form the backdrop for some ‘beefy’ business opportunities on May 20th when the Independent Print Industry Association (IPIA) hosts its first physical networking event of the year.
Representatives from the print industry, agencies, suppliers, printers, print buyers and end users are all expected to be among the attendees. “The IPIA Spring Networking lunch is always a big draw for members and non-members alike, a chance to explore collaborations and increase print volumes,” says Sharron Mahony, Marketing and Events Manager of the IPIA.
Sharron continues: “It’s a relaxed atmosphere where people get to connect with familiar and new faces, spark creative conversations and build new relationships and business. Our role, as hosts, is to provide an informal environment where our consummate networkers can flourish and, having secured exclusive use of the intimate and understated Gaucho restaurant, we’re confident of a very well-attended and productive event.”
The full IPIA events programme, consisting historically of some ten events a year, is highly valued by members and sets it apart from other associations. Its virtual Big Breakfast networking events, set up during the pandemic, continues to draw some 60 attendees every month, but the IPIA is thrilled to also be back doing in-person meetings. These events give attendees the chance to not just explore new business, but also discuss best practice and significantly expand their referral network.
The IPIA Spring Networking lunch takes place on Friday May 20th at Gaucho in Birmingham, just a stone’s throw from Cathedral Square in the city centre. Its starts with welcome drinks at 12pm followed by a 4-course sumptuous lunch at 1pm and departure at 3.30pm. Guests are moved in between courses to different tables to ensure everyone gets the chance to connect with those they want to meet.
Tickets are on sale now from £56*, including drinks and lunch.
Plans are also being drawn up for the annual national IPIA conference which is expected to take place this September. Details will be announced in due course.
