This is what they said ...

Mr Markus Palm,

Sales Africa - WILD Flavors GmbH:

WILD Flavors GmbH (WILD) has been active in Ghana for about eight years and presents its natural ingredients to the food and beverage industry. Ghana is a very important region since many African countries without a harbor obtain goods via the Ghanaian harbor in Tema. Moreover, Ghana is located strategically advantageous for the whole West African region and is a highly stable state from an economical point of view.

The main target of WILD is to show and expand its presence in Ghana/West Africa. Additionally, the trade fair is an excellent platform for meeting customers and connecting with new contacts. WILD is also aiming at supporting Ghana's/West Africa's development with its products. We know our way around the globe when it comes to international and local flavor preferences. At its stand at agrofood, WILD is showcasing its portfolio for the West African market, including refreshing beverages with malt and still drinks. All products are customized for the local taste favorites.

At our booth, we are welcoming a high number of visitors – including many interesting new contacts with potential for the future. A lot of good talks and great interest from visitors contribute to an overall successful WILD presence.

Mr Peter Daniel,

Regional Sales Manager – Windmoeller & Hoelscher:

Our machines are running in West Africa already since 25 years. In Ghana we are active now since 3 years. This is a very important market for us, not only due to its political and economic stability, but also because of increasing amount of investments, mainly from Nigerian customers. The participation in plastprintpack West Africa gives us the possibility to get a detailed overview of the present situation in the regional food and packaging industry. The development in the field of industrial packaging in Ghana is just starting and we were satisfied with the professionals visiting our stand.

Mr Willi Moor,

General Chemicals Manager – Merck:

As many of our customers have production sites here, Merck established a branch in Ghana just in 2013. It's not just only the presence of the global players in Ghana that makes this market so interesting for us, we realised that there are many local producers, who are interested in improving the quality of their products. At agrofood & plastprintpack West Africa we are mainly displaying our solutions in food and beverage analytics as well as in food pigments for food decoration. We are positively impressed about the high quality of the visitors and the great interest in our products.

Mr Jinesh Shah,

PAKONA Engineers Pvt. Ltd.:

Ghana is a developing country and we see a lot of opportunities for innovative packaging. agrofood & plastprintpack West Africa is an ideal platform to provide innovative packaging solutions for various applications like food, beverage, cosmetics and pharma industry.

Mr Jean-Jacques Bozec,

Area Sales Manager – GEA Westfalia, Separator Group:

GEA has been active in West Africa since more than three decades, because we have always seen the huge potential of the region. The business discussion with visitors and other exhibitors were very helpful in order to deepen our knowledge of the market. And we see over more than 30% of the contacts we made at our booth as potential customers, this clearly reflects the high quality of the visitorat.

Mr Gene YJ Lee,

Manager – Hinte Jinro:

Ghana is the big base for the whole influence to neighbouring countries, such as Nigeria and the other ECOWAS members. Finding a local distributor for our products is our main target, and to analyse customer behaviour on our beverages.

Mr Joe Cirino,

Export Manager – Basso:

We entered this prosperous market three years ago, because we expect Ghana to be really the gateway to West Africa. Attending this exhibition helps us to detect new contacts and to develop our business, especially in regard of finding a distributor of our products.

Visit of the French Ambassador H.E. Frédéric Clavier

The Ambassador of France H.E. Frédéric Clavier underlined the importance of building links between French and Ghanaian companies in all sectors of agriculture through training and technology transfer.
