On January 16, 2015, SATO appointed Hisashi Asai to lead business development efforts focused on the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M) solutions. With this this appointment, Mr. Asai will expand on his current role of managing global accounts for the SATO Group as General Manager, Global Key Account and New Business Development.
Prior to joining SATO, Mr. Asai was in charge of new business development at Fujifilm. Building on his years of experience and extensive professional network, he will now focus on next-generation AIDC solutions combining IoT, M2M and robotic integration, creating unique new business models for the SATO Group.
In the first half of 2015, SATO will be embarking on a variety of projects aimed at promoting new business, working in collaboration with venture capital firms and universities.
