Managing Director of Schreiner Group is finalist in important business competition
Successful entry into the final: This year, for the 25th time, the auditing and consulting firm EY is honouring Germany's best owner-managed companies with the "Entrepreneur Of The Year" award. Our CEO Roland Schreiner has reached the final of the renowned competition after a demanding selection process: "I am very pleased that this award recognises our successful company development and thus brings us more into visibility as a 'hidden champion'," the CEO of the international high-tech company comments on reaching the final round.
"The pandemic, the digital transformation as well as the convergence of entire industries pose challenges to the economy. Entrepreneurs who successfully steer through these stormy times are doing very special work. With the 'EY Entrepreneur Of The Year', these achievements are highlighted and made visible," says Konrad Meyer, EY partner and branch manager in Munich, explaining the background to this year's award. Together with Steffen Schwesig, Regional Manager and Director of Liechtenstein-based LGT Bank AG - a long-standing partner of the competition - he presented the finalist award to Roland Schreiner at the end of September. The two gentlemen were impressed by Schreiner Group's Oberschleissheim headquarters. "The award recognises the entrepreneur's entrepreneurial performance, employee leadership and social commitment. Likewise, the independent jury of renowned experts takes into account innovative strength, sustainability of growth as well as the company's future potential," explains Meyer.
The winners of the business competition will be announced at a hybrid event in Berlin, i.e. both on-site at the Verti Music Hall and digitally, on 4 November 2021. The awards will be presented in the categories "Family Business", "Innovation", "Sustainability" and "Young Companies". The ceremony will be hosted by news anchor Judith Rakers.
