Supervisory Board Chairman Prof. Dieter Kempf confirmed by Annual General Meeting

Prof. Dieter Kempf was confirmed by a large majority at today's Annual General Meeting of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft, which was held virtually for the first time after the expiry of the Covid special regulations, with all shareholder rights guaranteed. The election was held until the end of the Annual General Meeting in 2026, which will decide on the discharge for the 2025 financial year.

The former President of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) took over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft, following his court appointment on 15 May 2022, as successor to Klaus Helmrich, who resigned from office for personal reasons. Prof. Dieter Kempf led the BDI from 2017 to 2020 and will be the organisation's Vice President after his term of office expires in accordance with the statutes. Born in Munich, he is a member of another supervisory board and is involved in various advisory boards.
Annual General Meeting approves all proposals
At the virtual general meeting, the shareholders approved all proposals of the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board with a large majority. Among other things, the distribution of a dividend of EUR 0.95 (previous year: EUR 0.90) was approved. This brings the total dividend payout to EUR 163.7 million. In addition, the Annual General Meeting authorised the company to hold virtual Annual General Meetings for the next two years as well. This gives GEA the opportunity to decide on the format of the next AGMs in due course.
