BAF Graphics flexes its design and print muscles at Newcastle University

altBAF Graphics has undertaken a new interior design project at Newcastle University, a civic university with a global reputation for academic excellence.

BAF Graphics have been asked to make the learning experience even more visually rewarding and support the Centre for Physical Recreation & Sport (CPRS) located within the university building by giving the sports facilities a complete makeover.

Commissioned by John Antony Signs, the job is to be completed at different stages with the aim to modernise the sport centre. Phase one of the project included decorating the gym and the spinning room with sports graphics.

altBAF Graphics produced digital wallpapers based on a specific design brief. Digimura Smooth, a commercial grade wallcovering, was the 'best-in-class' high quality substrate chosen for the job. In a couple of days, the skilled team at BAF Graphics installed a 14 x 4.5m image of a fencer within the gym, and a wide format application featuring a cycling race within the spin room.

"We are proud to have won this integrated project in the education sector. The work we have delivered so far is only the start. We are confident that stunning design combined with our printing, installation and project management expertise will help to improve the brand image of Newcastle university," comments Antony Baglioni, Business Development Director at BAF Graphics.
