Ink supplier awarded as ‘Performer of the Year’

Within its ‘Preferred Supplier’ programme the Schreiner Group, specialist for innovative functional labels with headquarters in Oberschleißheim, Germany, has awarded the Zeller+Gmelin GmbH & Co. KG as ‘Performer of the Year 2018’. The ink manufacturer from Eislingen, Germany receives this special prize, which the Schreiner Group has awarded for four years now to smaller but especially efficient suppliers, for the remarkable quality development in 2018.

During the ceremony at the beginning of April, Manfred Laschinger, Head of Purchasing at the Schreiner Group, said the reasons for the award are in particular the transparent communication, as well as the high quality of the products and the low reclamation quota. “In the past years there has been not a single reclamation,” Laschinger said. “And in particular during the big colour conversion last year the Zeller+Gmelin company has taken care of our concerns in an exemplarily manner.” A functioning and frictionless customer-supplier relationship is an important condition to fulfil the growing demands of the end customers. Thereby, a long-term availability of the used materials and raw material components is of central significance, as well the open and early communication of possible changes. Within the handover of the certificate, it was agreed to further intensify the cooperation on this level.
For Robert Paukner, Sales Manager for the region GER, AT, CH at Zeller+Gmelin, the award by an international known costumer such as the Schreiner Group is an important confirmation of the fundamental company philosophy and above all, a high appreciation for the commitment of all employees in the Printing Inks Division. At the Schreiner Group, the radiation-curable inks and coatings of Zeller+Gmelin are applied for example in the production of numerous labels for the pharmaceutical and automotive industry.
