Lecta at Frankfurt Book Fair

The company will showcase its complete range of coated and uncoated papers for the publishing sector

Once again, Lecta returns to the Frankfurt Book Fair, to be held from October 16-20th. At this international event, the most important commercial platform for the publishing industry, Lecta will showcase the advantages of its range of premium publishing papers that, thanks to their distinctive characteristics and finishes, ensure excellent printing results.
At this 71st edition of the fair, Lecta has collaborated with the renowned German publisher Taschen, specializing in books on art, design, architecture, photography and film, on the book Children by the internationally acclaimed Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado and printed on GardaPremium Natural paper. GardaPremium Natural is a two-side coated woodfree silk paper with a smooth surface and a natural shade that is ideal for photography books given its neutral tone, which highlights and enhances color as well as black-and-white images.
You will be able to visit Lecta’s stand this year in a new location in Hall 4.1 – Stand G81, where you can see the print results on this paper first-hand in this powerful work. In Children, Salgado presents 90 portraits of the youngest exiles, migrants and refugees. His subjects are from different countries, victims to different crises, but they are all on the move and all under the age of 15.
The book is a call to raise awareness of the vulnerability of the youngest members of society in moments captured by the photographer’s lens. Sebastião Salgado, winner of the 2019 Peace Prize of the German Publishers’ Association, will receive the prize in an awards ceremony that will take place at the Frankfurt Book Fair on October 20.
