Antalis supports Paper Artist Collective 2022 Charity Calendar

Antalis has donated paper for the printing of the Paper Artist Collective’s 2022 charity calendar, which has been created to raise funds for Art Refuge.

Art Refuge supports the mental health and well-being of people displaced due to conflict, persecution and poverty – in the UK and internationally. The charity calendar was created in response to the sense of isolation and loss felt by many during the pandemic.
The Paper Artist Collective’s calendar is the first project for which the collective’s members have produced work specifically to be photographed and printed, so it was crucial that the choice of print substrate was capable of reproducing the intricacies of the paper art. Sammie Quinn, who helps run the collective, felt it was also important that the calendar had a tactile feel, commenting “The work of the collective’s members can be very delicate, so we wanted a paper that would produce high quality print, whilst having a feel of softness to it.”
In response to the collective’s requirements, Antalis worked with Service Graphics, who printed the calendar. Together, they selected a paper that would meet all the criteria; iPrint Digital Uncoated in 200gsm, an FSC certified premium, wood free uncoated paper, which provides a superb printing surface and is guaranteed for HP Indigo digital. iPrint Digital Uncoated has been awarded the EU Ecolabel and is elemental chlorine free (ECF). It is 4-star rated on the Antalis Green Star System™.
Charlotte Rowe, Antalis Paper Consultant comments, “We are thrilled to be supporting the Paper Artist Collective and Art Refuge. It is an honour to donate the paper which will contribute towards making a truly beautiful piece of work to raise money for Art Refuge. iPrint Digital Uncoated provides a high-quality print, whilst maintaining the smoothness required by the collective.”
