KKH digitizes customer mail on a large scale with the help of Canon

The Kaufmännische Krankenkasse (KKH) in Hannover is a public health insurance fund with a budget of around 5.7 billion euros.

Approximately 3,800 employees look after about 1.7 million insured persons throughout Germany. The communication of a health insurance company with its insured is complex and requires a high level of organizational effort across all subject areas.
KKH Versicherung has reorganized and accelerated these processes together with the service provider Customized Business Services (CBS). All incoming mail for the insurance company was redirected from the 110 branches in Germany to a large recipient mailbox in Hanover. There it is pre-sorted in a dedicated CBS service centre and digitised with special document scanners from Canon. All documents reach the responsible clerks in digital form nationwide on the day the mail arrives.
