Print here in an emergency: fail-safe printing in hospitals and IT infrastructure management

Kyocera enables high availability printing in hospitals and production environments. With two new software solutions, the Meerbuscher document management provider offers protection in the event of IT failure scenarios.

Kyocera Emergency Services helps with cyber attacks or power outages in hospitals. For scenarios in which central hospital information can no longer be accessed, Kyocera offers an intelligent solution for emergency printing with the app.
The app continuously receives all relevant patient information from the central hospital information system (HIS) and saves it locally on a Kyocera multifunctional system.
In the event of a HIS failure, the hospital staff starts the app and activates an "emergency button" in order to print out all the necessary documents and thus to maintain ward operations. All of this is done while maintaining data protection through encrypted data storage, regular overwriting and PIN authentication of the hospital staff.
Kyocera Fallback guarantees real high availability when it comes to printing. That saves time, money and nerves. Typical application scenarios are the failure of print servers, the relocation of workplaces within a company or printer malfunctions in a production process. Kyocera Fallback also ensures efficient management of print servers and printer assignments.
