DCC invests in an HP Indigo 15K with thick substrate kit, expanding exposure to packaging industry

DCC, a US-based fully integrated graphics company specializing in color retouching and print, including large format, announced today that it has invested in an HP Indigo 15K Digital Press. This installation marks the first HP Indigo 15K Digital Press installed in New Jersey. DCC is an early adopter of HP Indigo technology, and this latest addition will add to their existing fleet of presses to meet the needs of the wide variety of industries that they serve.

Based in the northeast United States and beginning as a boutique retoucher in 1987, DCC now has locations in both New York and New Jersey. DCC serves the region and beyond, offering services to major retailers and brands including jewelers, clothing companies, hotels, nonprofits, pharmaceuticals, and more. Their services include creative photography, pre-media services, retouching, production of print pieces such as brochures and large format graphics and more.
As DCC has grown, it has expanded its offerings and has ventured into packaging since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The HP Indigo 15K Digital Press is equipped with a thick substrate kit allowing the press to process up to 24pt media, which is a thick stock that can be used for packaging and other applications. This investment will allow DCC to continue its growth in packaging.
DCC is led by founder Steve Pandolfi and President Don Terwilliger. Pandolfi’s reputation as a leading color separator in New York City allowed him to grow DCC in the competitive fashion and cosmetic industry. In 2002, Pandolfi partnered with Terwilliger, a highly regarded printing industry expert, to expand their footprint in printing and form DCC’s printing division. Terwilliger was selected as a UBS/Clinton Foundation mentor to help struggling minority owned businesses in 2011.
“We are happy to announce our latest addition, HP Indigo 15K,” said DCC Founder Steve Pandolfi. “We have had success over the years with HP's digital presses and it has allowed us to invest on our 4th Indigo press. This press gives us more flexibility with the widest color gamut and it allows us to print on 50lb text paper up to 24pt board most commonly used for packaging.”
In addition to producing high quality products and services for their customers, DCC places a high priority on environmental standards, implementing sustainable printing practices and operating in a facility equipped with solar panels to utilize clean energy. Since 2015, DCC has held a Sustainable Green Printing Partnership.
Kirk McLean, General Manager, Americas HP Indigo and Pagewide Presses said, “HP is grateful for our longstanding relationship with DCC and has have been impressed by their rapid growth. With this new HP Indigo 15K Digital Press, they’re well-equipped to expand their packaging business and we look forward to seeing them continue to achieve new milestones and deliver for the industries they serve.”
