BOBST patron - Khosla Printers adds fourth machine to its fleet

Khosla Printers, located in Ghaziabad in Delhi NCR, has invested in a second BOBST die-cutter, taking its tally of BOBST assets to four.

The company is one of the leading packaging manufacturers specialising in both the folding carton and rigid box sectors, catering for the food, tobacco, electrical and electronics, mobile and cosmetic markets.
Operating in the industry for the past 23 years, Khosla Printers is equipped with robust infrastructure that enables them to produce quality packaging with the shortest lead times. The company strives to always provide packaging with added value, combined with best-in-class service that has earned them a reputation as a reliable and preferred supplier to many of their end customers. The company has been growing in recent years and as a result, has been expanding its infrastructure in terms of space and equipment. Most recently, the team invested in a new NOVACUT 106 E die-cutter from BOBST, taking the total number of BOBST lines to four. “With a relationship lasting over 12 years with BOBST, the NOVACUT was a natural choice,” said Mr. Sanjay Khosla, Proprietor at Khosla Printers.
The BOBST NOVACUT is Khosla Printers second BOBST die-cutter after investing in a BOBST pre-owned SP 102 E almost 5 years ago, in a bid to enhance post press capacity. After the addition of a Heidelberg press last year, the team realised they needed to increase capacity in their post press division even further and opted for the BOBST NOVACUT. Khosla Printers also counts two BOBST folder-gluers among its assets – a BOBST VISIONFOLD 110 A2 and BOBST AMBITION 76 A1. The company also produces litho-laminated cartons for leading brands in the automotive, food and electronics industries. “One such renowned pizza brand has been our customer for nearly 20 years, and with their business growing, we too had to cope up with their increased demand. Normally our customers’ demand peaks towards the third quarter and that’s when we have pressure to meet our customers delivery timelines; our new BOBST die-cutter will arrive by that time so that we will be well prepared to meet the market demand,” said Khosla.
“There were cheaper options available from the Far East in terms of die-cutting machinery but on the reliability front, quality of output, prompt local service and easy accessibility with the BOBST local team, I felt more secure in choosing BOBST. “Having used BOBST many times over the years, I feel peace of mind and hence willing to pay a premium for BOBST. I know that in any time of need they are just a phone call away. I have experienced on few occasions, when a machine required maintenance, the BOBST engineers attended the very next day and issues were resolved within 24 hours. In fact, the first BOBST machine we invested in is a 1990 model and it still produces over 50,000 sheets per day. “Personally, I feel in the next years two to three years, we have a great scope to grow by 20% or more since we have lot of opportunities in packaging. In converting we were slightly lacking but that’s when we decided to invest in the second BOBST die-cutter. This investment should resolve our post press bottle neck and enable us to meet with future demand,” added Khosla.
