PrismTech Graphics goes small to gain big results with Colter & Peterson's reconditioned paper cutter

Three thousand miles separate the two companies, but a conversation at a Las Vegas trade show last October brought the principals at PrismTech Graphics and Colter & Peterson together to solve an important issue. Paul Milburn annually upgrades his equipment and he was in the market for a paper cutter to join the 57" POLAR machine in his shop. A conversation with Bruce Peterson led to a deal for a 30" reconditioned POLAR cutter that is getting a workout every day since being installed late last year.

e-print optimizes workflow by using real image preview on POLAR cutter

Largest Malaysian web-2-print company e-print invested in High-Speed Cutter from POLAR to optimize their workflow. With the new N 115 PRO the print shop is able to use real image preview of the complete sheet directly in the operator screen. Thus the operator can see the handling of the material with the help of the real sheet.

Automation of new press spurs Pollards decision on folder

Having doubled its offset printing capacity with a move from a Speedmaster SM 74-5 to a Speedmaster XL 75-5+L at the end of last year, Pollards Print in Exeter is now addressing the additional pressure on its folding capacity. In May it will take delivery of an automated combination Stahlfolder, the KH 82.
The press investment marked the Exeter company's debut in coating and the addition of Inpress Control spectral colour and register measurement and adjustment slashed its makeready times.

Graphics of the Americas crowd gravitates to Colter & Peterson's Microcut® systems

Three industry-leading versions of the Microcut® automated back gauge control system for paper cutters proved to be the right tonic for Colter & Peterson at the Graphics of the Americas show. By the time the event ended February 28, C&P experienced its most successful run at the Miami Beach venue.

The new Stahlfolder CH 56 folding machine from Heidelberg for short run digital and offset production

Following the successful launch of the Stahlfolder BH/CH series one year ago, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) is adding a further folding model to its portfolio. The Stahlfolder CH 56 KT auto folding machine will be available worldwide from April 2015. The machine has been specially designed to enable customers to achieve the best possible folding results for flyers in 50 x70 format. Its major advantage is the especially easy-to-use, end-to-end intelligent automation. The Stahlfolder CH 56 KT auto uses the same user-friendly touchscreen controls that thousands of customers have become accustomed to over the years.
