ComPlott Papier Union now sells EFI VUTEk printers in Germany

ComPlott Papier Union has partnered with Electronics For Imaging, Inc. to market the EFI VUTEk printer range from early December 2019. This new partnership enables ComPlott to offer the German market an innovative and competitive portfolio that meets the needs for higher productivity and flexibility.

"By adding EFI VUTEk printers to our portfolio, we are able to meet our customers' growing demand for increasing production to 150 m² per hour and more at low production costs", says Achim Thörner, Director of Sales, Marketing and Product Management at ComPlott. "Our current printer range is limited to a maximum speed of around 100 m² per hour and we needed competitive products in this segment. It was therefore an easy decision from our perspective to work with an innovative company like EFI".
ComPlott, based in Mettmann, is one of the leading system houses for large format printing systems in Germany. The company is a subsidiary of the Papier Union Group in Hamburg, which belongs to the Inapa Group in Lisbon, Portugal. The company is successful in the sale of print media up to 5 meters wide such as PVC banners and textiles, but until now it has not had access to customized hardware. With EFI as a partner, ComPlott can now address customers who demand higher productivity in both media and printing.
Thörner also adds: "We also saw a market trend, especially in hybrid printers with a width of 3.2 meters, which offer the flexibility of roll-to-roll printing and printing on rigid materials. Customers are looking for comprehensive solutions, and EFI definitely has the technology to deliver them".
"We at EFI know that this collaboration is mutually beneficial and we look forward to building a long and successful partnership with this company," said Massimiliano Cariolato, EFI Sales Director of Display Graphics.
