Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorf is awarded the seal of approval for workplace health promotion

Exemplary commitment to the well-being of employees
15 criteria that promise quality, success and a lasting effect on the health of the company and its employees are a prerequisite for being awarded the seal of approval for workplace health promotion. Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorf convinced the jury with numerous measures aimed at promoting the health of the employees at the Nettingsdorf site.

Healthy employees as the most important potential
Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorf has been increasingly committed to the health of its employees since 2004. "Health protection and occupational safety have the highest priority in our company. In the occupational health and safety management team, current topics, projects and measures to improve the health of the 364 employees are discussed in regular meetings", says Dr. Gerald Heidl, head of human resources at Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorf. Joint activities, occupational health and safety days, information campaigns on current key health issues such as exercise, nutrition, sleep and mental balance are on the agenda, as are support for sporting activities or the topic of "healthy cuisine" in the in-house staff restaurant. "We take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees. This is part of our corporate culture and is anchored in the policy and policy statement on health and safety at work," concluded Günter Hochrathner, CEO Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorf.
