photokina offers new conference for trade visitors

New Imaging Innovation Conference (IIC) focuses on innovative and disruptive imaging topics and technologies

Whether for industry, dealers or professional users: imaging technologies and their areas of application are currently developing at a rapid pace. With the Imaging Innovation Conference (IIC) on May 26, 2020, the day before photokina, a format is now being created within the framework of the leading trade fair for imaging, where experts from all relevant fields and from all over the world can exchange views on these changes. In combination with a visit to photokina, this will create a holistic picture of the status of the industry - and an important stimulus for your own actions.
The Imaging Innovation Conference is the further development of the annual Business Forum Imaging Cologne, which last took place in March 2019 and has established itself since 2009 as an important platform for trends and innovations in the international imaging industry. "As it approaches photokina, the new Imaging Innovation Conference with innovative and disruptive topics and top speakers appeals to trade visitors who want to get the most out of their trip to Cologne," says Christoph Werner, Executive Vice President of Koelnmesse. "In combination with a visit to the world's leading trade fair, this creates a holistic picture of the status of the industry, from which important impulses for one's own actions can be gained.
The Call for Papers has been launched, and in addition to a joint kick-off event in the morning, several parallel tracks are planned for the afternoon. The conference will take place in the Kristallsaal in the CongressCentrum Ost at Koelnmesse. The day will conclude with a networking dinner at the Rheinterassen in Cologne.
The conference, which is being organized by Koelnmesse in cooperation with C.A.T.-Publishing Thomas Blömer GmbH, addresses not only retailers, image service providers and suppliers, but also content creators, software developers, innovators and trend scouts. Even before the official start of the trade fair, top-class representatives of the imaging industry, new providers, start-up entrepreneurs and independent experts will be able to find out how groundbreaking innovations are made possible by new technologies. The focus will not only be on technological developments and product innovations, but also on innovative marketing strategies and concepts for retailers to meet the expectations of customers in the digital society.
Tickets for the conference will be available from 3 February in the Koelnmesse ticket shop and also entitle the holder to admission to photokina.
