GMG OpenColor expands the possibilities for easy integration of innovative third-party tools. MeasureColor is a new addition.

Automation and integration characterise day-to-day business in print production. With GMG colour management, print data is now automatically converted and optimally prepared for various printing technologies. The new integration options of GMG OpenColor are now the beginning of an even more far-reaching process optimisation.

Many experts in the graphic arts industry agree that GMG OpenColor is the best technology for reliably ensuring accurate colour reproduction. Thanks to the extended interface, the GMG OpenColor libraries are now open to many other suppliers. For example, Colorware is now on board with MeasureColor - the powerful solution for print quality control.
GMG is very pleased about the cooperation. Now the values that MeasureColor uses as a target for print production match exactly the proofing colour definitions of GMG OpenColor. So the proof is achieved at the first attempt - and the customer's expectations are directly met in the result. Set-up and matching on the press are much faster.
Ruud Wentrup, Managing Director of MeasureColor developer Colorware, puts it in a nutshell: "The new collaboration finally makes it possible to close the gap between prepress and press. We are delighted with the new possibilities for data exchange. We can avoid many errors, produce less waste and get more precise colours. Try and error is finally history and the printing process is accelerated in a sustainable way."
"The main requirements of our customers are automation and, of course, complete control over print quality," adds Peter Schöffler, product manager at GMG. "Both aspects are solved with the new connection. GMG OpenColor is the basis of automated colour management in prepress as a central repository for spectral colour information. In combination with MeasureColor, the result is right all along the line: higher productivity and expanded printing capacities thanks to shorter makeready times."
Peter Schöffler sees the cooperation with Colorware as a valuable contribution to an innovative network around GMG's technology.
