Modernise quickly and increase availability: Two new service plans from Schneider Electric

- Reap benefits of digitised electrical assets faster with targeted strategies

- Restore confidence in reliability of electrical assets for crisis-proof business operations
- Service plans accelerate upgrades in times of CAPEX constraints
- Service plans extend the life of electrical assets by digitally upgrading or replacing with new digital assets, including smart financing

Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has unveiled two new service plans for maintenance and modernisation at this year's Hannover Messe. The customer promise of both plans aims to increase business resilience through digitised electrical assets. Currently, many companies are struggling to restore confidence in their business. Any new approach must therefore be designed to withstand the current CAPEX pressures.
Time to act
Many companies are currently under pressure to restore their financial as well as operational operations, reduce risks and prepare for current and future crises. Modern, digital technologies show a clear path to achieving these goals. This is especially true for electrical assets and power systems that underpin core business operations, and whose uptime and reliability are fundamental to maintaining operations.
"Today's companies cannot compromise on ensuring their core business is operational," says Frederic Godemel, Executive Vice President Power Systems at Schneider Electric. "That's why we're helping them achieve peak operational performance faster than ever before with the help of digitalisation - even under new CAPEX and OPEX budget pressures."

Service plans boost confidence in digitalisation
The first of Schneider Electric's two new service offerings is the 'Service and Modernisation Plan'. The maintenance strategies agreed in this extend the life of older electrical equipment so that it can remain in operation for a few years longer. They are then replaced with new equipment before the end of the contract period. While ensuring the manufacturer's 24/7 on-call and operational readiness, this plan shows ways to digitalise electrical equipment according to a company's future requirements. It is important here that the investments for modernisation are spread over several years based on the plan. This prevents CAPEX from coming under pressure and strengthens the company's current operational reliability.
The second new offer is the "Financial Plan for Service and Modernisation". This plan is backed by financing and obsolete equipment is replaced immediately. This provides operators with continuous access to the highest reliability of brand new equipment, as well as the expertise and support of Schneider Electric. In addition, companies can immediately benefit from digital technologies and advanced services to improve their assets and asset management. The service and modernisation plan, as well as the financing plan for the investments made, are spread over several years. The new bundled solution offering of financing, modernisation and service plan provides security for the business continuity and uptime of the core business.
Digitisation opens up space for growth
At the heart of the new service plans are digital assets, such as Schneider Electric's medium-voltage switchgear. These advanced digital products have condition-based maintenance capabilities that relay data from their sensors to both local tools and apps, as well as sophisticated analytics tools. Embedded in Schneider Electric's holistic and end-to-end networked system architecture EcoStruxure, the entire equipment platform becomes digital and improves operational reliability, safety and efficiency thanks to cloud-based data exchange. With EcoStruxure, the digital backbone that companies are building today can flexibly perform more sophisticated measurement, monitoring and control in the future - as companies grow and change over time.
