From digital to smart planning: Production planning via APS web application from DUALIS

In modern manufacturing, flexible and fast (re)action is required. Production planning must also pursue this goal. However, planning is frequently still carried out in desktop environments, which slows down the necessary flexibility.

All data relevant for production as well as extensive planning functions should be available independent of time and place. The Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) system GANTTPLAN from DUALIS (www.dualis-it.de) can ensure this with its service-oriented architecture. At HANNOVER MESSE from 17 to 21 April in Hall 15, Stand E34, DUALIS will be demonstrating how to make the leap from digital to smart production planning.

Ever-changing customer requirements, increased competition, shortages of raw materials, supply bottlenecks, shortages of skilled workers and other challenges require increasingly flexible planning options. Smart production planning is a prerequisite for being able to react quickly and flexibly in production. In addition, collaborative planning, platform independence and location independence are required in terms of efficiency and flexibility. An APS system that is designed for the future therefore offers the possibility of planning independently of a desktop environment.

The interactive APS system GANTTPLAN from DUALIS is designed for modern production planning. In addition to the pure desktop application, the planning tool can be used as a web variant. The Web Client makes the APS solution available on any device via a web browser. This makes it easy to plan materials, workstations, personnel, shift models and production order networks, among other things. This gives users planning security, even from home offices, for example.
