Security & Surveillance Key to Smart Cities: IFSEC 2014

UBM India today flagged-off the 8th edition of India's biggest fire safety and security exhibition- IFSEC India Expo (International Fire & Security Exhibition and Conference) in Delhi at Pragati Maidan in association with ASIS International, Delhi Chapter. The 3-day event (11th-13th Dec 2014) is supported by the Fire and Security Association of India (FSAI).

With the Indian security market continuing to grow at 30% per year, IFSEC India 2014 aims to promote and help correct its lower level of market penetration.

R. K. Pachnanda, IPS, ADG/ APS - Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) delivered a special address and highlighted the need for Security & Surveillance for the proposed 100 smart cities in India.

Speaking on the event, Mr. Joji George, Managing Director, UBM India Pvt. Ltd said, "The advancement of security in recent years has seen the role of end users from the government and private sectors playing an increasingly important role in the purchasing process and this influence continues to be reflected in the 2014 edition. UBM India's focus for IFSEC India 2014 is to bring together every business need, technology, understanding of regulations and strategies that need to be covered to strengthen all entities in the commercial, civil and fire safety value chain. - Hikvision launched ultra-low-light surveillance DarkFighter PTZ camera

- Silvan Labs launched the DIY Home Security systems which enable the user to have a control of their house through an application on their smart phones

- Axis Communications launched latest intelligent video solutions

- Schneider-Electric launched Spectra Professional HD PTZ Dome Camera and Esprit HD PTZ Camera

- Sellox B.V. India launched unique key centric access management solutions

Rajan Luthra, National President, FSAI; Gopal P Choudhary, Chief of Security, Tata Steel Limited Speakers from Dahua Technologies; Ashish P Dhakan, MD & CEO, Prama Hikvision, Siddharth Mehta, Dy.
