Cascades (TSX: CAS), a leader in the recovery and manufacturing of environmentally friendly packaging and tissue paper products, is pleased to announce this year's winners of the Sustainable Supplier Award: Hewitt Equipment Limited and BASF Canada, who share the honours for 2014!
The annual contest aims to recognize suppliers who shine for their responsible business practices, and who have had a positive impact on Cascades' sustainable development objectives. The awards ceremony took place today in Montréal, with the Company's senior management and North American plant managers in attendance.
According to Mario Plourde, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cascades, "we cannot adopt responsible business practices in a vacuum. It's thanks to the efforts and expertise of suppliers like Hewitt and BASF that we are able to move forward in this area. We are very appreciative, and we commend the efforts of all our suppliers who are committed to sustainability."
