Eye-catcher in confined spaces: Space-saving display from NEC Display Solutions

MultiSync®BT421 for Signage Installations and Guidance Systems in Narrow Environments

NEC Display Solutions Europe launches a new, space-saving monitor: the BT421 has a 42-inch s

creen size with an ultra-wide 16:4 aspect ratio. With a screen height of only 28.9 centimetres, it is particularly suitable for use in confined spaces. This opens up entirely new applications for guidance systems, advertising measures and information reproduction in a variety of industries, such as aviation and transport, retail, cinema, healthcare or educational institutions.
As an alternative to static and printed displays, the BT421 offers operators double flexibility, allowing them to take advantage of dynamic content and new areas in their premises. In addition, the display has a high brightness of 700 cd/m2 - making it easy on the eyes to view the content. At the same time, the images are pin sharp.
The BT421 has a dust-protected panel so that dirt cannot penetrate. It can withstand temperatures from zero to 50 degrees Celsius, guarantees reliable operation and ensures that the operator's investments are secured in the long term.
Thanks to industry-leading NEC technology, the new model delivers crystal-clear, high-contrast content for years to come. A low-reflection surface coating ensures that they are always easy to read, even in bright ambient light. Content can still be created in 16:9 format, with the integrated trimming function actively playing either the upper or lower area.
The BT421 supports daisy-chaining so that back-to-back installations are also possible. This allows the use of multiple displays to create eye-catching signage solutions and signage systems that attract attention. The compact size of the display also offers many other installation options.
"Companies are constantly looking for ways to better and more creatively inform their customers. However, lack of space often puts a spoke in their wheelhouse - often the available space is not sufficient to place displays in a meaningful way," says Erik Elbert, Product Manager Large Format Displays at NEC Display Solutions Europe. "With the new BT421 display, NEC is now bringing the benefits of digitisation and dynamic content to areas where space is at a premium. Operators now have much more options to install monitors in their premises".
"The new model is specifically designed for locations where real-time information sharing is a key component - for example, at transportation hubs," said Filip Cogghe, Senior Sales Manager, Transportation EMEA at NEC Display Solutions. Many buildings are not designed to meet today's needs for information and directions," says Filip Cogghe, Senior Sales Manager, Transportation EMEA at NEC Display Solutions. This makes it difficult to install conventional displays in confined spaces. The BT421 opens up new possibilities for digital displays in such spaces. This allows companies to inform their customers in a completely new way and create a better customer experience".
