Heidelberg USA Announces Two Key Appointments

Heidelberg USA has announced the following management changes:
Thomas (Tom) McTernan has been appointed to the position of Vice President for National Consumables Sales for Heidelberg USA. In his new role, Tom will report to Thomas Topp, Senior Vice President Consumables and Senior Finance Officer for Heidelberg USA, and assume responsibility for overseeing the go-to-market strategy for consumables and CtP in the U.S. market.

He most recently served as Regional Vice President, Central Region, based in Chicago. Tom's new assignment marks his return to the Kennesaw office, where he previously spent seven years as Regional Sales Manager for Printmaster, Prepress, and Digital.
"Tom's passion for sales excellence, coupled with more than 22 years of sales and leadership experience at Heidelberg, will serve him well in this new role," said Juergen Grimm, President of Heidelberg USA.
"While I will sorely miss working with the Central Region, I look forward to leading a new effort dedicated to growing our competitive position in the U.S. consumables market," McTernan said. "We have a terrific team in Kennesaw, strong management support in both the U.S. and Germany, and a solid plan for continued success. I can't wait to get started."
Tom's wife Tamara, along with children Sean and Shannon, are excited about Tom's promotion and about the prospect of relocating to the Atlanta area.
Former Account Executive (Central) Randy Wiersma will take over for Tom as Regional Vice President, Central Region, reporting to Juergen Grimm.
"Randy has been a top performing sales professional with Heidelberg for more than 28 years," said Grimm. "He is highly regarded by customers and peers alike for his business acumen and analytical skill."
"Tom's outstanding leadership as Regional Vice President for the Central Region has been a model and an inspiration," Wiersma said. "I'm grateful for his example, and for the confidence Heidelberg has placed in me."
Both McTernan and Wiersma assumed their new responsibilities on Nov. 1.
