Mission Accomplished – merger of LEEF & wisefood officially completed

The sustainable packaging industry is coming together: The merger between palm leaf specialist LEEF from Potsdam and full-range supplier wisefood from Garching is now officially completed. With the dissolution of wisefood GmbH and its full integration into LEEF Blattwerk GmbH, the merger has been finalized.

LEEF develops and distributes innovative, CO₂-neutral packaging and takeaway solutions made from palm leaf
for gastronomy, cosmetics, retail, and events. wisefood, founded in Garching near Munich, became known for
its edible drinking straws and today offers a wide range of sustainable products for gastronomy – from cups and
packaging to cutlery. Both brands share a clear mission: to redefine sustainability in gastronomy and
packaging.
In recent years, wisefood has demonstrated that sustainable alternatives can scale successfully, achieving a profitable seven-figure annual revenue and establishing a strong position in the retail sector. With a portfolio of
over 1,000 products and optimized warehouse capacities for flexible shipping, LEEF and wisefood are now combining their strengths to serve the market even more efficiently and at scale – from single parcels to full container loads
Looking ahead:
LEEF products will soon be available in the wisefood online shop.
The product range will expand to include new sustainable innovations for gastronomy and retail – with first concepts already in development.
The ongoing financing round is showing positive early results and will enable further growth.
