Metso Corporation's four biggest registered shareholders on September 1, 2014, have named the following persons as their representatives in Metso's Nomination Board:

Richard Garneau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Resolute Forest Products Inc. (NYSE: RFP) (TSX: RFP), has been named to Canada's Clean50, recognizing leaders who have made the greatest contributions to sustainable development or clean capitalism in Canada.

To say that Brent Weaver knows Mitsubishi printing technology up and down and inside and out is something of an understatement. For the better part of his 25-year career, Weaver has plied his prodigious technical skills helping Mitsubishi press users in western states get the most out of their investment.

Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) today announced Pamela Henson has been named president and publisher of The Post-Crescent in Appleton, WI. In addition, Henson will become regional president of Gannett Wisconsin, overseeing all 10 of the company's Wisconsin properties. She succeeds Genia Lovett, who retired from the same position in June and will report to Laura Hollingsworth, central group president for Gannett U.S. Community Publishing (USCP).

Matt Gross, award-winning editor, writer and author, has been appointed as the new editor of Boston.com, effective Sept. 29.

International Paper Company (NYSE: IP) announced the election of Ray G. Young to its board of directors effective October 1, 2014. Mr. Young, age 52, has been the senior vice president and chief financial officer of Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) since 2010. Prior to joining ADM, Young served as vice president of international operations in China at General Motors Company (GM), as well as executive vice president and chief financial officer of GM.

Brian Chalmers is joining Heidelberg UK as sales representative for Scotland. He brings with him extensive graphic arts experience, from both a supplier and printer perspective.

Exar Corporation (NYSE: EXAR), a leading supplier of high-performance integrated circuits and system solutions, today announced the appointment of Ali Sahin as vice president of sales for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Mr. Sahin is based in Munich, Germany and reports to Steve Bakos, senior vice president of sales. His responsibilities include management of Exar's European sales and field applications staff, a wide network of sales representatives, and authorized distributors.

Micrel, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCRL), an industry leader in high-performance linear and power solutions, LAN and timing and communications solutions, announced today that it has named Mr. Robert Herb, a 30 year veteran of the semiconductor industry, as a new independent member to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. Herb replaces Michael Callahan, who recently passed away after a lengthy illness. Mr. Herb has been appointed to serve on the Board's Compensation Committee and its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

Other Promotions, New Assignments and Retirement Announced

International Paper (NYSE: IP) today announced that the board of directors has elected Mark S. Sutton Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2014 and chairman of the board effective January 1, 2015. Sutton currently serves as president and chief operating officer responsible for leading and running the company's global operations. Prior to his current role he was senior vice president, industrial packaging.

PolyOne Corporation (NYSE: POL), a premier provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions, today announced that Javier A. Echevarria, vice president, Global Sourcing, will lead the company in its sourcing initiatives, reporting directly to Robert M. Patterson, president and chief executive officer, PolyOne Corporation. In this capacity, he replaces Thomas J. Kedrowski who is no longer with the company.

Udo Panenka and Jon Giardina bring significant business leadership skills to Esko management team
