Polyes VS 3Doodler?

Polyes uses photo-polymers instead of ABS/PLA material, which means the pen doesn't have a hot nozzle or unpleasant odor. It is inserted the tilt sensor. When Polyes is held above ground level, the blue light will automatically go out, in case of eyes being irradiated directly. It is especially designed for children who play with the pen without supervision. Its colorful ink is sure to be more attractive than the traditional ABS/PLA filament.Future Make Team did a great job! Over 1,000 backers pledge nearly $140,000 with 30 hours left on Kickstarter. They have received nearly 60 inquiry letters from distributors all over the globe. Cooperated with the factory in Shenzhen China for mass production, they promise everything has gone well and the first batch would be in Feb. Once the pledge strikes down $140,000, customizing the 3D printing pen is committed for each backer as they said in the stretch goal.

With such a personalized service, it's hard to avoid comparison with the 3D pen ancestor---3Doodler, which was rushing to sweep away on Kickstarter a few days ago with its 2.0 version refunded. They have a great community for users, thus a better user experience will be provided from its new look.

The safest, cool-ink 3D printing pen
Various kinds of 3D printing pens already exist on the market though, Polyes Q1 still gets a place on Kickstarter and receives much attention from the public as the functional inks becomes the heating topic both on web and off the web. Polyes Q1 successfully averts the danger of melting ABS or PLA plastic at temperatures over 200°C (400°F), like using a hot smelly glue gun. Instead, the light-sensitive photopolymer(liquid in room temperature)inside the ink cartridge is pushed forward with a micromotor, and quickly solidified under the exposure of LED light; additionally it's more user-friendly due to its portable and wireless design after full-charge. Rapidly pacing in the technology revolution, Stereolithography (Light Curing) tech will certainly become popular.

Vision on 3D Pen Industry
Creating such a 3D pen is not the ultimate goal of Future Make. According to its creators, Polyes Q2 will be capable of color picking with its Color Identify pen tip, so that every user can choose whatever color they like. Polyes Q3 will integrate motion-caption MEMS into the pen so as to sketch directly in a CAD software which is being tentatively modelled in real 3D before designing in CAD.
