Graphic Design Website Ranks Top 20 Best Visual Communications Degree Programs

Graphic Design Degree Hub conducts a rigorous survey of U.S.-based visual communications degrees to find the 20 best schools.

The 20 most outstanding visual communications degrees in the United States are now featured in a new article by Graphic Design Degree Hub. Titled "Top 20 Best Visual Communications Degree Programs," the online piece represents an ambitious survey of accredited colleges and universities. The article is available now on Graphic Design Degree Hub, which is a web guide to careers, education and financial aid in the visual arts.

Editors for the piece pored over figures provided by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) and the National Center for Education Statistics. A simple, point-based system was used to rank the schools by student retention and graduation rates as well as numbers of students receiving financial aid. A number of traditional, campus-based colleges made the list as well as several accredited online schools. The article includes IES figures along with average tuition costs and links to further information.

Visual communications jobs can encompass a wide range of career choices and salaries. Current U.S. federal labor statistics forecast fairly moderate job growth (7%) for graphic designers through 2022; however, jobs in the areas of computer system design and related services are expected to increase by as much as 35 percent. The article by Graphic Design Degree Hub provides students with new ways to evaluate the data.
