Richard Sutton Joins Reader's Digest Association as Chief Revenue Officer

The Reader's Digest Association, Inc. announced that Richard Sutton has been named Chief Revenue Officer effective Monday, January 5. Mr. Sutton will be responsible for overseeing all revenue and sales development across the RDA family of brands including Taste of Home, Reader's Digest, The Family Handyman and the company's Home & Garden Group. Mr. Sutton will be a member of the senior management team, reporting to CEO Bonnie Kintzer.

Mr. Sutton brings a storied career as a highly regarded media executive known for his ability to devise successful digital media sales, strategy and distribution programs for some of the nation's most well-known multi-media and digital companies. Mr. Sutton joins RDA from MailOnline, the world's largest online newspaper site, where he spent the last two years as Chief Revenue Officer, spearheading revenue growth for the U.S. launch, signing clients such as P&G, Unilever, General Mills, Disney, Macy's and other top U.S. brands.

"Rich has an extremely impressive background in digital sales, cross-platform strategy and distribution, and will be a perfect fit within our organization as we continue to grow our online businesses and multi-channel brands," said Bonnie Kintzer, President and CEO of Reader's Digest Association, Inc.

Prior to MailOnline, Mr. Sutton's experience includes serving as Senior Vice President Consumer Markets for WebMD where he tripled non-endemic ad revenue through partners such as Lowe's, Walmart, L'Oreal, Target, IAMS and Playskool; as well as serving as Global Head of Sales for CBS Interactive Media Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sutton spent 12 years at Warner Brothers Entertainment, most recently as Senior Vice President of Digital Media Sales, where he was responsible for attracting new advertisers such as Pepsi, Microsoft, and General Mills.
