Evolve Additive Solutions Announces the Appointment of Volker Hammes

Managing Director BASF New Business GmbH, Ludwigshafen/Rhein, Vice President & Head of Business Build-up to its Board of Directors

This addition expands Evolve’s Board of world-class global leaders

Evolve Additive Solutions announced that Volker Hammes, Managing Director BASF New Business GmbH, Ludwigshafen/Rhein Vice President & Head of Business Build-up has been appointed to its Board of Directors effective November 2020.

Volker is an industry veteran within BASF and will bring many years of knowledge, experience, and leadership to Evolve. Currently he is responsible for Business Build-up of innovative material solutions e.g., for E-Power Management, Functional Feed Additives, and 3D-Printing. Additionally, he is Chairman of BASF 3D Printing Solutions GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of BASF New Business based in Heidelberg/Germany. Volker Hammes holds a Master of Science degree with first-class honors in Mechanical Engineering/Plastics Technology from RWTH Aachen University.

“With over 30 years of experience in the industrial use of materials I wish to contribute to introducing the STEP™ technology of Evolve into the manufacturing world of tomorrow,” stated Hammes, “Therefore, I will dominantly take the perspective of a potential user both from an application and an economics point of view.”
