Stephanie Mitchko-Beale Joins Cross MediaWorks as its Chief Technology Officer

Stephanie Mitchko-Beale, a highly regarded technology professional in the cable industry, has joined Cross MediaWorks as its Chief Technology Officer. In this new role, Mitchko-Beale will be responsible for leading the advancement of data-enhanced advertising solutions, including addressable and advanced advertising for Cross MediaWorks. Mitchko-Beale was most recently the Senior Vice President of Video Infrastructure Software at Cablevision Systems Corporation, where she was responsible for developing technology and infrastructure to support Video-On-Demand, Subscription Video-On-Demand and advanced interactive applications for Digital Television and Broadband.

During her 15 years at Cablevision, Mitchko-Beale was a pioneer in the deployment of advanced advertising applications such as development of linear advanced advertising applications like telescoping, addressable targeting and dynamic ad insertion. She also developed e-commerce sites supporting online distribution of modems and, recently, cloud-based Digital Video Recorder (DVR) systems.

Prior to Cablevision, Mitchko-Beale was President and CEO of IRT Inc., a consulting company which advised on the IBM Internet division launch for Technology Solutions Inc., and spent five years managing the electronic warfare division of Digital Signal Corporation where she developed kill assessment technology for the United States Navy and Air Force. Stephanie is also a board member of the NYU Polytechnic Enterprise Learning Board, which focuses on bringing technical learning online. Mitchko-Beale has received several industry awards throughout her career. She received an Emmy Award from the American Academy of Arts and Sciences for her work on Cablevision's iO Interactive Television and a Technical Emmy for her work on Cablevision's iO Interactive Optimum Digital Cable, and also led the team that received an Emmy Award for Technology and Engineering for its "Pioneering Work in Implementation and Deployment of Network DVR." CableFAX named her to its "Top Women in Cable Tech" list in 2010 and its "Digital Hot List" in 2012. Multichannel News and Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) New York Chapter named her a "Woman to Watch in 2010" and a "Wonder Woman" in 2011. WICT, the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), and CableFAX awarded the prestigious Women in Technology Award to her in 2013.
