UV-screen printing and foiling in one operation

New Sakurai inline film wrapping line at ESC
As a specialist for particularly demanding printing applications ESC offers with the inline filming system Sakurai LQM Evolution a time and cost saving possibility for the finishing of UV-screen prints with metallized hot stamping foil for all graphic applications, packaging printing, automotive or plastic cards etc.

Printing, drying, hot foil stamping and stacking in only one production run This makes it even easier and faster to produce high-quality prints with gloss effects, haptic surfaces and 3D effects. The novel LQM Evolution can be combined with any Sakurai cylinder screen printing machine, can be operated by less experienced personnel and is quick to set up. The user is not only spared the need to produce a special film form, but also significantly reduces material consumption. Simply print the motif as a UV coating on the substrate and dry it. Then the foil is applied by hot stamping with high precision only in the required places, i.e. on the printed area.
The operator simply enters parameters such as processing temperature and pressure, material length, number of application areas or multiple foil application via the touch screen. A remote maintenance module is also integrated. Sheets with a maximum format of 520 mm x 760 mm (model LQM 76) or 1050 mm x 760 mm (model LQM 105) can be processed.
In addition to partial application, the system has two further functional modes: the run-through mode for complete sheet wrapping and the bypass function, which allows jobs to be run without wrapping. Here the LQM Evolution merely functions as a transport unit and guides the material to the stacker at the same speed as the press.
By simply integrating this system into existing Sakurai cylinder screen printing lines, many production companies have the opportunity to increase their versatility or specialization and generate growth.
