DREWSEN SPEZIALPAPIERE restarts sales of new PROSEAL Heat Sealable Paper for packaging of non-food items and dry foods

Sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions are increasingly influencing our everyday lives. Brand owners, consumers and the European Parliament are demanding alternatives to plastic.
In line with the changing requirements from the customers DREWSEN is focussed on developing new grades that are fit for the future as sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives to plastic.

Besides the existing grades PROBARRIER PFAS free Greaseproof Paper and PROSTRAW Paper for manufacturing Drinking Straws the company is now pleased to re-introduce the quality PROSEAL after a forced pause following a lack of raw materials.
The new PROSEAL is in-line treated on the paper machine with a heat sealable dispersion coating on one side that reacts to heat and pressure generated by high-speed heat sealing. The grade can easily be implemented on existing packaging production lines (form-fill and seal, vertical and horizontal flowpack) and possesses the necessary mechanical properties such as printability, flexibility, puncture resistance and a consistent high quality that are required for the process and application.
PROSEAL is
• designed for various packaging applications, such as the primary and / or secondary packaging of non-food stuff (DIY articles, toys, household goods, hygiene articles, etc.) and non- fatty food stuff that requires no further barriers.
• produced according to the requirements of recommendation BFRXXXVI and can on request be supplied with FSC or PEFC certification.
• fully recyclable in the stream of household paper waste. Recyclability tested and confirmed by CEPI.
Recycling Systems in Europe are fully established and a very large percentage of paper is recycled. This makes paper-based solutions an effective environmentally friendly and sustainable solution.
