Brett Martin and swissQprint UK are pleased to announce a highly successful test of Brett Martin’s Foamalux products on the Nyala 3 flatbed printer at swissQprint’s new demo centre in Bracknell. The newly established UK subsidiary printed a striking 1220x1220mm image of mouth-watering macaroons in beautiful pastel shades which highlighted both the quality of the printing equipment and the Foamalux substrate.

Metsä Board’s paperboards receive new home compostability certificates

Metsä Board, the leading European producer of premium fresh fibre paperboards and part of Metsä Group, is delighted to announce that two of its folding boxboards, MetsäBoard Natural FBB and MetsäBoard Pro FBB OBAfree, as well as two food service grades, MetsäBoard Natural FSB Cup and MetsäBoard Pro FSB Cup, have now received home compostability certificates complying with NF T 51-800 standard. Metsä Board’s eco-barrier paperboard MetsäBoard Prime FBB EB already holds the same certificate.

Valmet to supply an extensive paper machine grade conversion rebuild to Modern Karton in Turkey

Valmet will supply an extensive paper machine grade conversion rebuild and a wide scope of automation to Modern Karton Sanayii Ve Ticaret at its Tekirdağ Mill in Turkey. In the project, paper machine PM 3 which is currently producing recycled containerboard, will be rebuilt to produce high quality coated containerboard grades. The start-up of the rebuilt paper machine is scheduled for the beginning of 2022.
