Sharp Announces Its Latest Line Of Professional LED Displays

Light-weight professional grade series offers thin bezel, thin profile and advanced connectivity

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, announces the launch of its new PN-E series of LED displays designed for a wide range of professional applications. With their sleek design, and support for landscape and portrait installations, the PN-E703/E603 professional-grade displays offer an amazing degree of flexibility for around-the-clock operations.

These 70-inch-class (69.5" diagonal) and 60-inch-class (60.1" diagonal) Sharp LED displays combine full-HD image quality, stylishly thin profiles and energy efficiency to create appealing professional signage solutions for any commercial setting. Based on the same design and interface as the company's popular 700 nit PN-R series, the latest line comes with built-in advanced connectivity and significant changes to the size and shape than its predecessors; the PN-E703 is 40% thinner and 86% lighter than its predecessor models, with the PN-E603 being 45% thinner and 84% lighter than its predecessor models.

Another distinction of the new PN-E603 and PN-E703 is their outstanding brightness, producing 450 candelas per square meter (cd/m²), making it ideal for controlled lighting environments. The displays' LED backlit panel also incorporates Sharp's UV²A technology, which prevents light leakage and ensures highly efficient use of light from the backlight. This advanced technology allows the displays to achieve truly bright whites and extremely deep blacks. Both models support full-HD (1080p) resolution for clear rendering of detailed text and graphics.

"The new PN-E703 and PN-E603 combine the similar design profile and connectivity as our top-selling PN-R series platform with the same level of brightness and price point as our previous generation PN-E models." said Mike Marusic, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Operations, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. "With the release of Sharp's third generation PN-E series, we are able to offer a wide array of professional displays that fit the demanding needs of our customers."

Both devices come standard with Mirror Display Mode capabilities, enabling the same onscreen content to be displayed on a series of daisy chained PN-E703/E603 monitors. This function can be used to reinforce advertising messages in public spaces or to facilitate communications in large office or conference settings.

The PN-E603 model is now available. The PN-E703 will become available in March.
