The icing on the cake at the show was a confirmed contract signing with Meteksan Inc for one of our Smart-binder SB-3 Plus HS high-speed systems, which will produce high quality, personalised examination booklets. This large security printing specialist based in Ankara, Turkey, requires a reliable solution that only we specialise in delivering.
Meteksan has been producing more than 30 different examination papers used by millions of people for more than 40 years in Turkey. The increasing demands of personalisation and security – with students requiring their own individual examination booklet meant that the Smart-binder 'Plus HS' High Speed saddle-stitching system was the natural choice! The Smart-binder at Meteksan will operate in-line with a Canon ColorStream web printer and Hunkeler web cutter at 100 metres/min.
Throughout the six days at Ipex, we had our IBIS Smart-binder SB-3 'Plus HS' system running together with a roll unwinder and web cutter. We were also able to produce large volumes of ISG cold glued and wire stitched booklets with constantly changing number of pages, as well as having meetings with customers, visitors and respected journalists.
