axaio software, developer of solutions for PDF output, print and editorial workflows for the publishing and print market, in cooperation with its technology partner WoodWing, has enhanced the existing integration of MadeToPrint in WoodWing Enterprise Server: The recently released WoodWing Enterprise version 10.9.0 implements the direct integration of the axaio MadeToPrint/Enterprise Server plug-in into the WoodWing system.
The MadeToPrint/Enterprise Server plug-in
axaio MadeToPrint Auto and Server can be seamlessly integrated with WoodWing Enterprise to provide fully automated, status-based output from WoodWing's publishing system. In cooperation with its integration partner ProPublish from Hamburg, Germany, axaio developed the separate MadeToPrint/WoodWing Enterprise Server plug-in some time ago - a dedicated axaio component to make the MadeToPrint Enterprise interface even more flexible and independent to meet specific customer requirements. In this context, the 'Layout Error Status' has been implemented in the plug-in, allowing documents with errors (e.g. missing fonts) to be moved directly to an error status, which provides an additional level of security for print production. In addition, this interface was designed with the option of individual adaptability, so that certain functional areas can be flexibly expanded using a separate plug-in in the Config area of the Enterprise Server.
The Integration
With the recent release of WoodWing's Enterprise version 10.9.0, axaio software and WoodWing have agreed to integrate the MadeToPrint/Enterprise Server plug-in as a separate WoodWing component in Enterprise to achieve even better integration at the customer site. The MadeToPrint functionality provided by the server plug-in in Enterprise must be activated in Enterprise and then set up. The MadeToPrint integration with WoodWing Enterprise provides functions for status-based print and PDF output. WoodWing Enterprise is configured so that as soon as a layout and its components (such as articles or images) reach a certain workflow status, MadeToPrint is addressed and processing starts based on the previously defined MadeToPrint output settings. Once the MadeToPrint process is complete, the layout and its components are set to the next WoodWing state.
