Industry leaders will integrate deep product attribution and QR code technology into their solutions for brands participating in the transparency initiative
Label Insight, the leading provider of SaaS data solutions that strengthen the connections between CPG brands, retailers and consumers, and Scanbuy, the global leader in mobile marketing solutions, have partnered to enhance their respective end-to-end solutions for helping brands participate in the SmartLabel initiative.
Customers will benefit from Label Insight's deep product attribution expertise and Scanbuy's enterprise-class QR code management capabilities. Scanbuy will offer customers Label Insight's proprietary SmartSPEC technology which analyzes 15,000 attributes per product - such as nutrients and allergens - and automatically maps each of the mandatory SmartLabel attributes and nearly all of the voluntary attributes. In turn, Label Insight will offer Scanbuy's patent-protected, print-ready QR code services to customers who want to include codes on the packaging of SmartLabel-enabled products.
Led by the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) and Food Marketing Institute (FMI), SmartLabel is a transparency initiative committed to building trust with consumers by providing comprehensive product information in an easy, standardized and accessible digital format.

This announcement comes on the heels of Label Insight's launch of their Sustainability SmartSPEC™, a sister product to SmartSPEC for SmartLabel™, containing more than 500 customizable attributes, such as recyclable and energy efficient, for retailers to choose from based on individual needs.
