LUXeXceL chosen as a Prism Award 2015 Finalist

21st Century Optics manufacturing nominated as finalist in prestigious International Competition
SPIE and Photonics West announced that LUXeXceL has been chosen as a Prism Award 2015 Finalist. The Prism Awards for Photonics Innovation is a leading international competition that honors the best new optics and photonic product and manufacturing innovations on the market. LUXeXceL, the inventor of Printoptical Technology and unique service provider for 3D printed lenses and optical components, is nominated for the category Additive Manufacturing.

LUXeXceL's President and Founder Richard van de Vrie, is very excited that LUXeXceL is nominated as a finalist in this worldwide competition: "It's LUXeXceL's mission to digitize the optics manufacturing enabling mass customization for optics. It is an honor to be chosen as a finalist in this international competition and I am happy that the jury recognizes that we guide this industry into the 3rd Industrial Revolution". All finalist will be judged by an independent expert panel of leading industries. The goal of the competition is to bring attention and give recognition to companies that are making a difference. This prestigious international award, organized by the SPIE is named the Photonics Oscar by OptecNet and takes place every year in San Francisco, California. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, February 11 during the ceremony at Photonics West 2015.

Prism Awards 2015
The Prism Awards were developed to recognize innovations in the Photonic industry. Finalists are divided into nine different categories. Each year the categories are updated to reflect ongoing trends in the industry. In each category one winner will be selected, among three finalists.
