Holland & Crosby Limited is Canada's First Certified Digital SGP Printer

Holland & Crosby Limited of Mississauga, Ontario joins the SGP Community as the most recent SGP certified facility. Holland & Crosby Limited, a 100 percent digital facility with large format flatbed and roll to roll capabilities specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of Point of Purchase signage and displays to the retail marketplace across North America. Operating since 1932, Holland & Crosby Limited is one of the longest operating print facilities in Ontario and is a long time member in good standing of the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA).

Scott Crosby, vice president sales and marketing, in explaining why they pursued certification states, "The SGP program is relevant to our industry as we had been doing a good job of recycling, but wanted to take it to the next level. SGP was the natural choice due to its understanding of our industry. They have been very helpful in facilitating the process of certification. SGP helped formalize our existing sustainability procedures and provided us with insight on how we could further improve along this path. We hope to take our acquired knowledge of sustainability procedures to our client base in an effort to help them make better decisions around the sustainability of their promotions."

Holland & Crosby Limited strongly believes that it has a social responsibility to reduce its impact on the environment. By becoming SGP certified, it took the proactive step in providing clients with a sustainable solution. Crosby continues, "The SGP Certification forces you to question all of your processes. It has helped us to formalize our sustainability procedure. From that we have reduced our waste and are on our way to decrease our energy usage. It challenges you to think and re-think your procedures and systems to ensure they are as efficient as they can be. This process leads to inherent cost savings."

"Holland & Crosby Limited's commitment to implementing sustainability-driven best practices exemplifies their commitment to being an industry leader and a sustainable printing company today and well into the future. We at SGIA are excited that they have started their journey and look forward to working with them as they continue," states Marci Kinter, vice president - government & business information, SGIA.
