Graphispag 2024 highlights the value of printing and graphic and visual communications industry

It will be the only graphics trade fair in Spain in 2024 and expects more than 140 exhibiting companies and 11,000 attendees to take part.
Sustainability, new business models for graphics companies and industrial applications of printing will be the main topics.
Graphispag is starting up machinery to prepare for the 2024 edition, which will take place from 1 to 3 October at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.

The emblematic show will once again bring together a wide range of printing and finishing equipment and technology, as well as materials, consumables and new tools to create graphic products that make a difference and demonstrate the value of printing and its creative and business possibilities to multiple user sectors.
Organised by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with Graphispack Association, Graphispag 2024 is expected to bring together more than 140 exhibiting companies, including leading suppliers of printing equipment, machinery and media, and 11,000 attendees. The show will have more than 6,000m2 of net exhibition space and activities in Hall 2 of the venue.
The president of the Organising Committee, Xavier Armengou, explains: “Graphispag will be the only trade fair for the graphics sector in Spain in 2024, so printing, finishing and media technology suppliers in the Iberian market have an unmissable opportunity to showcase and explain their new products, provide personalised advice on processes to achieve innovative and exclusive graphics products, and maintain direct contact with their printing customers and other potential buyers and specifiers”.
Three focal points
Sustainability, new business models for graphic services companies and the industrial applications of printing will be the focus of an edition that will facilitate investment decisions and which, as a meeting point, will breathe renewed energy into a sector that is constantly reinventing itself. In this sense, Armengou stresses that Graphispag will contribute to “improving the visibility of the graphics industry and demonstrating the differential value, validity and notoriety of printing, as well as addressing the major trends that are driving the graphics market”.
Thus, the Spanish trade show will highlight the commitment to sustainability of suppliers of printing machinery, products and services. Also, the impact of digitalisation on printers’ business models in aspects such as the automation and efficiency of processes, printing services in the cloud, the connection of the different management and business areas, and the new forms of relationship with customers and users of printed products.
At the same time, we will see how graphic innovation reaches industrial sectors where printing is integrated into many of the manufacturing processes, even adding new functionalities. Packaging, textiles, construction, furniture, automotive and electronics are some of the sectors that can also explore at Graphispag the new possibilities that graphic technology and new media can offer them. There will be specific itineraries within the fair to guide your visit.
However, Graphispag will focus on traditional printers, who make up the majority audience of the emblematic graphics fair, in order to help them innovate their processes, improve and expand their catalogue of graphic products, and increase the resilience and profitability of their businesses. In short, it is the companies and graphic workshops that provide specific solutions for the publishing world, advertising and large format, commercial and promotional printing, labels, retail, decoration and interior design, among others.
Activities and industry support
As a complement to its commercial offer, Graphispag includes different activities to share experiences and knowledge, as well as to establish connections that serve to boost the growth of the sector and identify new applications and business opportunities. Highlights include the “Impuls0” dialogue and conference space and the “Click & Print” area, where the personalisation and innovation of printed products will be highlighted.
Graphispag director Josep Alcaraz explains: “the content of the activities we are beginning to design will be very much geared towards responding to the concerns of graphics professionals, both from the point of view of the business model and of production processes and applications to increase the value, sustainability and innovation of printing”.
In order to identify the training needs and topics that arouse most interest in the graphics and visual communication industry, Graphispag is renewing its traditional collaboration agreements with around 60 organisations, printing guilds and professional associations that collaborate in the dissemination and promotion of the fair and its activities. This broad backing and sectoral involvement once again confirms Graphispag as the benchmark trade fair in Spain for all specialities in the printing and graphic communication industry, as well as for other sectors that print and communicate.
