AUTOMATION GAP IDENTIFIED IN PODI PRODUCTION WORKFLOW STATE-OF-THE-INDUSTRY REPORT

PODi has released its 2014 Production Workflow State-of-the-Industry report. One of the key findings in this 30-page report is the remarkable number of respondents in the "automation gap" who recognize that they either need to automate manual processes or to replace existing automation across 13 key production workflow phases.

The details in this 30-page report analyze the responses of how and where 170+ print and marketing services providers are automating their production workflows. It is designed to assist print and marketing services providers in developing their workflow automation strategies by describing where their peers and competitors are focusing and to help production workflow vendors develop product planning and marketing strategies by highlighting the needs and concerns of the industry.

The report includes details covering:

Software penetration for Web Submission, Workflow Automation and Print MIS broken down by operation type and size
A ranked listing of the most commonly referenced solutions in these spaces
Reported workflow automation strategies across 13 major workflow phases
Reported automation levels across 15 common types of applications
Primary automation rationale, barriers, enablers and influencers
Preferred solution delivery models (on-site installation, virtual server, SaaS, and outsourced service) for solutions in each major workflow phase
And a special comparison between in-plant and commercial responses
