The global Felix Schoeller Group announces that it will invest in a release liner manufacturing facility at its plant in Pulaski, New York. After years of rapid business growth, the company is now recognised as a leading manufacturer of siliconised poly-coated kraft liners (PCK). Due to the unique integration of papermaking, extrusion coating and siliconisation, Felix Schoeller Release Liners have become a benchmark in the markets for self-adhesive graphics, tapes and industrial products.
The planned investment in North America not only represents a geographical expansion, but will also open up new opportunities: The new facility is designed to coat both solvent-free and solvent-based silicone systems to best meet the needs of current and future customers. Commissioning of the new line is expected to be completed by 2023.
"Building the new North American operation is a very logical step in our global release liner strategy," said Michael Szidat, CEO of Felix Schoeller North America. "A manufacturing presence in our key North American market will transform us from a key supplier to a true partner for our customers. Expanding our technology to include solvent coatings will allow us to extend the Felix Schoeller value proposition to a whole new range of markets and applications."
